Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
An aircraft soaring over a well-attended California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings shared on the internet show the helicopter commencing to spiral above Huntington Beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Information
Local firefighters stated five persons were taken to hospital involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Information on their wounds were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
Planned Function
Officials indicated the helicopter was associated with an annual “Cars and Copters” fundraising event scheduled for Sunday.
